Farmers' Markets
The Markets Behind the Ingredients
San Luis Obispo County boasts approximately 17 farmers’ markets, every week. From Paso Robles to Arroyo Grande (and all the towns in-between), our chefs have an abundance of local produce to choose from.
On Thursday evenings, right outside Novo’s door, one of the nation’s largest and oldest farmers’ markets takes place. The Thursday market is a San Luis tradition, and Novo’s downtown location makes the restaurant a popular stop for market-goers who are in search of a great meal.
Since 1983, the downtown portion of Higuera has been closed off to make room for the market. Hundreds of farmers, vendors, musicians, and entertainment acts take over the space. Thousands of residents and visitors come out, celebrating the town’s weekly gathering and celebration of all things local.
